However, the rest of the vehicles have been allowed to install the embossed number plates between May (1) and May (7).
Therefore, between May (8th) and May (14th), vehicles that have not yet been installed with new embossed number plates, It is reported that if vehicles are found to be unable to submit proof of license plate number plates to the Department of Road Transport, they will be fined 5,000 kyats.
In addition, starting from the third week of May (May 15th), the vehicle registration certificate (Wheel Tax) will be confiscated from vehicles that cannot show proof that they have number plates, including vehicles that are left to install embossed number plates.
The Department of Road Transport has informed that the Vehicle Registration Certificate (Wheel Tax) will only be reissued when it can be shown that new number plates have been installed.
